Online Workshops

Enhance your understanding and increase self-awareness around your relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

Workshops are between 1 and 2 hours long, with time for checking in, checking out, and Q&A. Upcoming workshops will be updated here, on social media, and in the food body self society newsletters.

If your organisation, school, or university is interested in offering one of the below workshops then these can be tailored to suit the preferences of the group. A 20 minute consultation call (free of charge) would take place prior.

Food Freedom Workshops

  • Finding Food Freedom

Through a Positive Psychology lense, let’s take a look at your personal strengths as well as the accessible resources around you that can fuel your journey towards making peace with food. This is tailored towards those who are actively working through their struggles.

  • Coping with Eating Distress - Understanding (Part 1)

Wrap your head around what disordered eating & eating disorders actually are, why it happens, and what keeps it going. You’ll get an opportunity to start creating an understanding of your own eating distress.

  • Coping with Eating Distress - Overcoming (Part 2)

Whether you’re thinking about or have committed to recovery, take on board these initial steps and learn where you can go from there. This will incorporate CBT-E, the leading treatment approach in eating disorder recovery.

Body Image Workshops

  • Building a Positive Body Image - Understanding (Part 1)

Contrary to the idea that we need to love the way we look every day, positive body image is about accepting, appreciating, and respecting your body as it is. Learn evidence-based methods to improve your body image in a way that feels realistic to you.

  • Building a Positive Body Image - Overcoming (Part 2)

  • Body Image & Social Media

Filters, editing, and the highlight reel are all red flags for falling into negative body image. The way we use social media matters, especially when we know what research tells us about it. Consider how you might rethink social media by challenging it’s downfalls and being aware of how it impacts you.
